10 quick motivation techniques
It’s always lovely to a catch up with life coach Anita. She helps people to become ‘unstuck’ in their lives and today she is giving you her 10 motivation techniques.
Easy to implement and you will instantly feel energised. After watching the video you really need to put these motivational tips into action ASAP!
10 Motivational Techniques
1) START YOUR DAY WITH A POSITIVE THOUGHT OR FEELING
This will put you on the right frequency. Ask yourself:
a) What am I happy in my life right now
b) What am I excited about in my life right now
c) What makes me feel happy right now
2) MAKE A DEAL
Make an agreement with yourself for example ‘when I have achieved what I want to get done today then I will treat myself to something’ incentives are good and they work!
Veena butting in here for a sec! Just wanted to give you an example what Anita was just talking about. You could say to yourself ‘When I get all my 5 things done on my To Do list to the best of my abilty I can then go and meet a friend, take a walk or watch my favourite TV programme’ As you can see my treat is making fairy cakes with my son!!
3) FOCUS ON YOURSELF
Concentrate on yourself and your own achievements. Stay away from comparing yourself with anyone. If you want to be a presenter, don’t think ‘why that other presenter is being successful and you aren’t – You are on your own journey.
BELIEVE IN DIVINE TIMING
The fourth motivation technique is research lots about your desired outcome. What it is you want just throw yourself into it! This keeps you connected to your end goal.
Watch videos, read books, network, talk to other people who are already doing your dream job.
5) SET YOUR END GOAL
Set goals to achieve what you want. Break down your end goal.
- What is it I want
- What one thing can I do that would take me one step closer to that end goal
- Make a list and take the easiest step to do, follow the list through and tick each one off. Feel the satisfaction when you do this!
6) CONNECT WITH YOURSELF and DISCONNECT FROM OTHERS
Spend time connecting yourself – ‘me time’. Disconnect from everyone and everything!
Mediation, yoga, light exercises etc. This refreshes your mind and body, improving productivity, focus and dimishing stress
7) FIND A ROLE MODEL
Find an inspirational figure or role model. This could be famous or non famous and research about them. Find out what their story is… what did they do? How did they do it? Keeps you inspired and motivated to also achieve results.
If they can do it then you can
8) FOCUS ON WHAT YOU WANT
Focus on what you want not what you don’t want or what didn’t work. Focus on what is successful and use the things that didn’t work as a learning point.
9) TRICK YOURSELF INTO SUCCESS
Concentrate your time for 1.5 hours. Really focus for 90 minutes on a task – you will instantly become productive and will more than likely end up working longer than this!
Trick your mind into success
10) DON’T FEAR FAILURE
When you feel down, low and lack of energy, de motivated – keep reminding yourself ‘why’ you wanted it and what it will give you.
Remember there is no such thing as failure – you just found something that doesn’t work.
