When a band that gets dropped from their record label, their second single reaches number 38 in the charts and then they give us some music for free we think ‘umm ok, it must be rubbish’
But no, no, NO! We are wrong. I LOVE this new track from girlband Parade. ‘Light Me Up’ is produced by Tim Powell, its a very credible slice of pop and its one of those perfect tunes to dance around with your girls to (I’m dancing by myself to it right now – don’t judge me)
Parade are back with a new record label and management, which is quite unusual. Most bands that get dropped usually spilt up and try and do solo projects or get replacements for the band members that leave and then end up splitting up again anyway! However, Parade are different.
They are currently in the studio working on their second album with people like Ed Drewett (The Wanted), MNEK (Misha B) and Alan Sampson (Jay Sean) so they are in VERY good hands.
