10 Step Kim Kardashian Make Up Tutorial
Hello beautiful! Make sure you watch the full video above – I’ve never learnt so much about makeup on a photoshoot!
A BIG thank you to make up artist Ashleigh Faye for ‘glaming’ me up and putting together this Kim Kardashian inspired look.
10 Simple Steps
Kim Kardashian Make Up Tutorial
To re-create the Kimmy K look on Veena I first prepped the skin by cleansing, toning and moisturising. When moisturising on shoots, I mix a little MAC strobe cream into the moisturiser as it gives a healthy glow as well as a smoothe base to apply make-up.

I then applied MAC Face & Body Foundation all over the face, including the eyelids, working section by section from the forehead down. I work this technique to avoid the foundation drying in patches which then makes it harder to blend. Once foundation was covered, I applied concealer under the eyes and covered any blemishes.

Finally, to complete this section I applied a translucent fixing powder all over the face to set the powder. I use MAC Prep + Prime Translucent Finishing Powder, but other brands are available such as NARS and Illamasqua which are both also great.
Next I moved onto the eyes.
TOP TIP: Start by dusting a line of loose powder under the eye (Picture below.) This acts as a barrier to any falling eyeshadow and can just be swept away just before mascara is applied.
I layered a neutral eyeshadow over Veena’s eyelids as a base (Bobbi Brown Palette) and a thick line of eyeshadow on the bottom lash line.
Finally to finish off the eyes I used MAC Fluidline Gel Eyeliner in Blacktrack for the wings, applied some strip false eyelashes and a coating of mascara to the bottom lashes.
TOP TIP: When applying false eyelashes, wait around 30 seconds after you have applied the glue to stick the lash onto your lashline. This will allow the glue to go slightly tacky and makes the whole thing a lot easier.
After the eyes, I went on to highlight and contour the face. For this I used Sleek Face Form palette in Medium and Light. Always start with the darker shades for contouring and move into highlighting, blending as you go. Key areas to focus on are the cheekbones, nose and forehead. I also applied I light dusting of Bobbi Brown’s Bronzer and a touch of blusher to warm up the look.
Next I moved onto the lips, first applying a nude lip liner to fill in the lips and act as a base for the lipstick. Nude lips is one of Kim Kardashians signature looks, but make sure you go for the right shade of nude to suit your skin tone. Don’t be afraid to experiment a little!
Finally to finish off the make-up I filled in Veena’s eyebrows and shaped them slightly with a Sleek Eyebrow Pencil in Dark. Eyebrows can really complete a look, so I usually leave these until last so you can build them up to go with your look.
Once the make-up is complete, I went round with a cotton bud just cleaning up any imperfections. It’s amazing what a different this stage can make. Pay particular attention to any eyeshadow that may have fallen under the eye and make sure the lips are perfectly even.
No Kim Kardashian make up tutorial is complete without this step! As Kim’s look is all about highlighting and contouring to the max, I then went over the key areas using pressed powder to exaggerate the shading just under the cheekbones and topped off with a touch more highlighter under the eyes, on the forehead, down the centre of the nose and on the chin.
Finish off with a spray of MAC Fix to set your make-up.
